School Athletics

We are proud to offer a variety of elementary athletic programs at Summit Academy North Elementary. Research indicates that students that participate in school activities, such as athletics, are more likely to experience success in the classroom.

We had 70 students participate in the "Dragonites” running club. The "Dragonites” practiced each Thursday evening, and had events on Saturday’s throughout September and October. We are proud of the students, staff, and parents that worked so hard to make this season a success!

Over 40 elementary girls from North Elementary participated in this year’s cheer clinic. The Summit Academy North High School varsity cheerleaders ran the clinic. The participants cheered at half-time during the Breast Cancer Awareness game on October 10th. The girls did a great job representing Summit Academy, and had a blast cheering for the Dragons!

Another hugely successful season of Lil’ Dragons Flag Football concluded in the fall. Over 30 students participated in our co-ed, 4th-6th grade flag football program. The goal of flag football is to introduce students to football and good sportsmanship. We had a great time this year and are excited about the future of Summit Academy football!

We will continue to provide the students of North Elementary with opportunities to participate in school athletics. If you have any questions about elementary athletics, please contact our office at 734-789-1428.
